Wie haben Sie den Berufseinstieg nach dem Studium erlebt? Mit welchen Herausforderungen sahen Sie sich konfrontiert? Und wie hat sich schliesslich Ihre Karriere entwickelt – wie geplant oder doch ganz anders?
Für viele Studierende sind die Abschlussphase des Studiums und der Einstieg in das Berufsleben mit Fragen und Unsicherheit verbunden. HIer unterstützt deshalb das Mentoring-Programm von Universität Basel und AlumniBasel.
Als Mentor:in unterstützen und beraten Sie Studierende auf dem Weg in die Berufswelt, fördern deren persönliche Weiterentwicklung, teilen praktische Erfahrungen oder zeigen Karrieremöglichkeiten und alternative Wege auf. Im Zentrum des Mentoring-Programms steht dabei der gegenseitige Austausch zwischen Mentor:in und anvertrautem:r Mentee.
Das Mentoring-Programm…
… ist eine Kooperation von AlumniBasel und der Nachwuchsförderung der Universität Basel, mit dem Ziel, Studierende in ihrer persönlichen und beruflichen Entwicklung zu fördern. Diverse Abteilungen unterstützen das gesamtuniversitäre Programm mit Workshops und weiteren Angeboten. Das Programm steht Studierenden aller Fächer und Studienstufen offen (Bachelor, Master, Doktorat und PostDoc) und ist nicht kompetitiv. In der Ausschreibungsrunde 2024 werden 60 Mentoring-Plätze angeboten, die Vergabe der Plätze erfolgt unabhängig vom Zeitpunkt der Anmeldung. Es besteht kein Anspruch auf die Teilnahme am Mentoring-Programm und die Zuteilung eines Mentees bzw. einer Mentorin/eines Mentors. Gegen die Zulassung und Zuteilung kann kein Rechtsmittel ergriffen werden.
Als Mentor:in…
… tauschen Sie sich zwischen Oktober 2024 und Juni 2025 an mindestens drei Treffen bilateral mit ihrem oder ihrer Mentee aus.
… sind Sie zum Kick-off-Event am im Oktober 2024 ab 18 Uhr und zur Abschlussveranstaltung Ende Juni 2025 eingeladen.
… teilen Sie ihre Erfahrungen rund um Studium, Berufseinstieg und Karrieregestaltung mit Ihrem Mentee. Sie fungieren als Sparring Partner und haben ein offenes Ohr.
… erleben Sie, wie sich Ihr Studienfach und die Universität Basel seit Ihrem Abschluss entwickelt haben und treten in Kontakt mit interessierten und interessanten Studierenden.

Bitte melden Sie sich über unser Anmeldeformular an. Eine Anmeldung ist bis zum 29. September 2024 möglich. Sie erfahren bis am 14. Oktober 2024 die Zuteilung der Mentees.

Become a mentor and support our students in getting off to a successful start in their professional lives!
How did you experience starting your career after graduation? What challenges did you face? And how did your career develop in the end – as planned or completely differently?
For many students, the final phase of their studies and their entry into professional life are associated with questions and uncertainty. The mentoring program of the University of Basel and AlumniBasel seeks to address this issue. That's why we're asking you to become a mentor!
As a mentor, you will support and advise students on their way into the world of work, promote their personal development, share practical experience or point out career opportunities and alternative paths. The mutual exchange between mentor and mentee lies at the heart of the mentoring program.
The Mentoring-Program…
… is a cooperation between AlumniBasel and the Young Talent's Office at the University of Basel, with the aim of supporting students in their personal and professional development. Various departments support the university-wide program with workshops and other offers. The program is open to students of all subjects and levels of study (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate, and PostDoc) and is non-competitive. In the 2024 call, 60 mentoring places will be offered, and places will be allocated regardless of the time of registration. There is no entitlement to participation in the mentoring program or the assignment of a mentee or mentor. There is no right of appeal regarding the admission to program and allocation of a mentee or mentor.
As a Mentor…
… you will meet your mentee at least three times between October 2023 and June 2024.
… you are invited to attend the kick-off event on October 18, 2023 from 6 p.m. and the closing event at the end of June 2024.
... you share your experiences about studying, starting and shaping your career with your mentee. You act as sparring partner and lend an open ear.
... you experience how your field of study and the University of Basel have developed since your graduation and get in touch with interested and interesting students.
Registration
Please register via our registration form. Registration is possible until September 29, 2024. You will be informed of the allocation of mentees by October 14, 2024.
